The resort is located at Barangay Yapak, which was a few kilometers away from the white beach. If you're a private guest, the resort has its own private dock where the resorts speedboat drops you off after picking you up from the resorts waiting lounge in Caticlan port. Since the resort is far from the main beach, the resort has provided free shuttles that go to and from the resort to stations 1-3 every hour.
Some people says that the only imperfection this beach has is its sand. Well, if you compare it to the sand quality of the public beach, I have to say its texture is way inferior. So don’t expect the perfect Boracay sand of the white beach on your feet, but, still the water is gorgeous, very clear & pristine which is perfect for swimming & sunbathing, but in a more private & exclusive way I guess. After all, a good beach is more than just its sand quality.
And then, there was the pool that got me excited! After laying eyes on it, I just wanted to dive, swim and sleep there. Haha!
It was definitely one of the most beautiful pools I have ever seen. It was said to be one of largest unconventional free form swimming pool in the country.
It was huge, irregular but well-designed pool, with mini pools around a huge infinity pool where you can enjoy your own private swimming or if you wanted a more intimate swim.
The lawn showcases a lush foliage and coconut tree gardens with hammocks scattered around which made it more inviting to lie down and relax.
Boracay Shangri-la is indeed one of the most elegant and beautiful in the island worthy of international recognition. Its exclusivity is its prime asset especially if you’ve been longing for a peaceful and quiet vacation.
This luxury might come with a hefty price tag with the cheapest room costing around 18,000+ but discounts are available especially if you book in advance or if you book it during off season.
